Sarah's Terrain

Although her legislative influence has been contained, Sarah Palin is nevertheless a powerful transformational figure. People see themselves in her, and the mirror she holds up is deeply revealing. She unwittingly exposes excruciating livestock cruelty to a squeamish audience; thanks to her gaffe at the turkey pardoning ceremony, the realization of indescribable misery is penetrating through to otherwise oblivious masses. Her Freudian flubs also air out masculine confusion in the face of feminine assertiveness. On Larry King November 12th, she says “...if they say they want me in another position, I'm going to do it.” and in the same interview she digs deeper down the dark abyss of feminine diablerie with “...not having a crystal ball, I do not know what those opportunities will be…” Bill Clinton was right when he said she shouldn’t be underestimated - as the stinging exhibit of our deepest insecurities, she stands to contribute more to human evolution than she could ever consciously express.
