In hindsight, it looks like the economic power base enabled Obama, giving more to his campaign than McCain’s, while the crash gave ‘Change’ a free pass. The economy’s drivers acquiesced to the force of fate, but they didn't forget to clean up with some formidable consolidations under the guise of the '08 crash, before loosening their grip on the vagabond system.
