The Natural Mind

As tornadoes rip through the heart of the country, I can't help but feel that colossal desires may be metastasized into destructive weather. The wild weather which gripped the US since January (the start of the primaries) is highlighted by February’s Super Tuesday tornadoes and snow storms. Here are other recent occurrences which can be seen as translations of intense emotions. On June 4th, the day after Obama’s nomination, severe weather affected Washington DC where Hillary was struggling to adjust to the loss. Just the other day, as many women are grieving Hillary’s loss, several campers were killed by a tornado in an Iowan all boy camp. In the same string of storms, the Kansas towns of Chapman and Soldier took direct hits. And then the floods, like rivers of tears. I hope Obama realizes the impact of her loss, and takes her and her 18 million followers back to the fold by giving the woman what she wants: a VP slot.

I followed this story. I have an interest in OZ, and so tornadoes in Kansas resonate with me (my grandmother was also born in Kansas, but moved to Chicago during the depression).

I also have an interest in names / words as magical objects. While I don't want to discount the tragedy of the situation, I do want to attention to the towns of Soldier and Chapman (as in Mark Chapman, the killer of John Lennon). With the Russert rainbow, the double spiral and this, perhaps the earth is trying to speak to us.

Have you seen the latest crop circle with the ratio of Pi embedded. . .amazing.

Yes, I ran across it this afternoon, and am now enjoying it again. I can only admire the Pi theory from afar as I retired from math in grade 9, but it's truly amazing that no matter the level of intellect, there is so much to listen to.
