I find it interesting to note that Double Spirals are traditionally symbols of the Mother Goddess (healing and fertility), so you might be right!
Supposedly, this comes from a Rams horns.
They also represent the equinoxes - two of the high holys.
Like the Rainbow above Russert's funeral, this is an exciting sign.
